Fixed Interest Process
Our Fixed Interest Team seeks to actively add value through a combination of duration and credit approaches. They recognise that cash and long-dated bonds are at different ends of the same yield curve, maintain that interest rates move to reflect changing economic fundamentals and believe that markets drive underlying fair value.
ABAM’s philosophy is that markets are inefficient and that active management adds value. Portfolio construction is subject to risk analysis in regular review meetings and proprietary research. Three important stages are macro-economic analysis, market analysis and market forecasts, and portfolio strategy.
