Head: Investment Cluster, Absa Wealth and Investment Management
Armien is Head of the Absa Investment Management cluster, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He joined the Group on 1 December 2013
Prior to joining the Group he was MD at Sanlam Investments. His previous experience includes positions as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Investec Asset Management and an Associate at McKinsey.
Armien has a Bachelor's in Economics & Accounting, Honours in Financial Management, MBA (Cum Laude) and AMP from Harvard.
Chief Investment Officer
Errol completed his articles at Ernst & Young and joined Liberty Asset Management (Libam) in 1985, where he assumed responsibility for research into many of the large capitalisation shares on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and later a wider range of investment portfolios at LIBAM.
Errol was an Executive Director at STANLIB Asset Management and was responsible for the management of the Liberty Group and Liberty Active (Charter Life) life fund portfolios as well as certain segregated funds.
Errol managed the absolute return portfolios at STANLIB with a value of over R10 billion.
Errol joined ABAM on 1st May 2006 as Chief Investment Officer.
